Then-- take the 2:30 boat back to Boston arriving at 3pm. Sounds like a very civilized day out!
The Hingham Shipyard is located 15 miles SE of Boston in the historic town of Hingham, MA . The new waterfront community offers more green space, walkable streets, and a unique "boardwalk" ambiance. The Hingham Shipyard is on Rt. 3A. Basically there are three ways to get here:
1. The Neponset exit off Rt. 3 then follow 3A through Quincy, Weymouth and Hingham.
2. Exit 14 off Rt. 3 which is the Hingham/Rockland/Nantasket exit. Take Rt. 228 to Hingham Square then pick up 3A North to the Shipyard.
3. From 95/128 take Braintree/Washington Street Exit 18/19 then follow the back roads --Elm St to Hayward Street to Howard Street to South Street to 3A.
